When does the day begin?
So the Talmud uses day one to prove that the day starts in the evening.
Gen. 1:5
God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
But look at day six. Evening and morning were the sixth day. The next verse doesn't say and evening came and God rested on the Sabbath. Nope it just says that God rested on the Sabbath.
Logically we all know a day is morning to morning.
- God creates light during the day and rests at evening until morning which concludes day 1
- God creates the firmament during the day and rests at evening until morning which concludes day 2
- God creates the ground during the day and rests at evening until morning which concludes day 3
- God creates the Sun and Moon during the day and rests at evening until morning which concludes day 4
- God creates fishes and birds during the day and rests at evening until morning which concludes day 5
- God creates man during the day and rests at evening until morning which concludes day 6
- Day 6 concludes with the morning so the Sabbath logically begins in the morning otherwise it would specify.
Also he separates the light from the darkness and creates the sun before the moon. If we take everything into account it's clear that morning and not evening begins the day.
Gen. 1:14
And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,
Notice how months aren't mentioned. This verse alone proves that the Torah calendar is solar. We are not to use the moon to mark the month. It's simply calculated. Again the order is day then night. Why doesn't it say "the night from the day?" Like how hard would it be for Moses not to confuse us? See how easy it is to get brainwashed? 1st century Judea simply needed justification for how hellenized they became.
Further proof is the day of atonement in which we are to “afflict our souls” from evening of the 9th to the evening of the 10th. Why would that need to be mentioned? Why not just say the 9th and 10th, a 48 hour period? Unless the day starts in the morning and it's actually a 24 hour period.
That's about it. It's so crazy simple I don't know how I ever got brainwashed. Never again!
