Tutorial iv

Aloha and welcome to the fourth tutorial that concludes our setup tutorials. So the four setup tutorials are

1. Day Counter
2. DriveSync
3. Plugins
4. Qumran Double Tap

Estimated time: 7 minutes

This tutorial is about our dashboard like on a car. Life is no different than a vehicle. There has to be someplace that has all the important information. This place needs to be easy to access. To really automate this process we are going to use a gesture.

So the most efficient way to do this is to use Nova Launcher on Google Play. Again I must apologize to Apple users. Nova Launcher is just an app that allows my Android peeps to customize their UI or homescreen. I recommend learning about Nova Launcher on YouTube and to use it to best serve you. For this tutorial we will only focus on one feature of Nova Launcher - gestures.

We need one more app to make this work. This app is also worth studying. It's used extensively for hardcore automation. It's called NFC Tools - Pro. I don't think the regular one NFC Tools will work for what we're doing but you can try.

Ok assuming you have both those apps downloaded allow me to walk you through the simple steps of getting this setup

1. Copy this URL

obsidian://open?vault=Hanokh&file=Random%20Note

2. Open NFC Tools - Pro and under 'Tasks' click 'Add a Task'

3. Click Applications
4. Click Launch URL
5. Paste the URL you copied in step 1 and press 'OK'
6. Click 'More Options'
7. Click 'Save a task profile'
8. Click 'New profile'
9. Save as '⭐ Random Note'
10. Go to your apps and open Nova Settings
11. Scroll down to 'Gestures and inputs' and click it
12. Scroll down to 'Double Tap' and click it
13. Click on the Shortcut tab
14. Scroll down to 'NFC Tools - Pro' and click it
15. Click Run a Profile
16. Scroll down to '⭐ Random Note' and click it

Done!
