Sargon The Great

After Noah was 500 he had children. The next event is angels mate with people. We start the Sumerian empire at this time because Sumerian records mention this in detail. GPC assumes that some of the woman on the ark were Sumerians and that Noah's son's had interracial marriages. There's no other explanation. The Tower of Babel thus signifies the end of the Sumerian empire which can be cross referenced by Babylonian history - borsippa. The Akaddian empire would start with Sargon the Great - ruler of the black headed people - the Sumerians - those he had conquered.

Nimrods milestones

  • 20 - garments
  • 40 - goes to war
  • 185 - reign
  • 215 - death

Nimrod was most likely a representation of Sargon and his grand son Naram-Sin. The short lived Akaddian dynasty is almost exactly the length of Nimrods life span according to Jewish sources.

Nimrod was born in Cush's old age. He wears the garments that give him strength at 20 years old. Abraham was 75 when he entered Canaan which was the year 2023. Nimrod went to war with Chedorlaomer 5 years after the revolt in the tenth year of Abraham being in Canaan so 2033. Fifth year of Abraham being in Canaan was the revolt against Chedorlaomer so 2028. Terah was captain of the host of king Nimrod when Abraham was 50. 1948 + 50 = 1998, two years after the Tower of Babel. If Esau killed Nimrod as the book of Jasher claims then he reigned all the years of his life. He lived 215 years minus the 185 year reign is 30. So he began his reign at 30. Sargon ruled 56 years. If we use Nimrods defeat against Chedorlaomer as the end of the reign of Sargon that puts the start of his reign at 1977. That means at 20 is 1967 and at 40 is 1987 which was 9 years before the Tower of Babel. This makes sense because when he was 40 it says "...all the earth was of one tongue...". This puts his birth a year before Abraham and his death when Esau is 54. Everything fits perfectly.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed in 2047 and are mentioned in an Akkadian poem that describes cities destroyed by a rain of fire. The poem, translated by Archibald Sayce, is written from the perspective of a person who escaped the destruction. Although the names of the cities are not explicitly mentioned in the poem, it is believed to be related to the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. This also checks out perfectly.

  • 1947 - born
  • 1967 - garment (20)
  • 1977 - start of reign (30)
  • 1987 - war with Japhet (40)
  • 1996 - Babel
  • 1998 - Terah Captain
  • 2015 - start of Chedorlaomer reign
  • 2027 - end of twelve years
  • 2028 - thirteenth year revolt
  • 2029 - fourteenth year
  • 2033 - Chedorlaomer Nimrod War
  • 2047 - Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed
  • 2162 - death by Esau

Verses

Jasher 7

29 And Cush also concealed them from his sons and brothers, and when Cush had begotten Nimrod, he gave him those garments through his love for him, and Nimrod grew up, and when he was twenty years old he put on those garments.
34 And when Nimrod was forty years old, at that time there was a war between his brethren and the children of Japheth, so that they were in the power of their enemies.
46 And all the earth was of one tongue and words of union, but Nimrod did not go in the ways of the Lord, and he was more wicked than all the men that were before him, from the days of the flood until those days.

Jasher 11

1 And Nimrod son of Cush was still in the land of Shinar, and he reigned over it and dwelt there, and he built cities in the land of Shinar.
2 And these are the names of the four cities which he built, and he called their names after the occurrences that happened to them in the building of the tower.
6 And Nimrod dwelt in Babel, and he there renewed his reign over the rest of his subjects, and he reigned securely, and the subjects and princes of Nimrod called his name Amraphel, saying that at the tower his princes and men fell through his means.

Jasher 13

12 And in the tenth year of Abram's dwelling in the land of Canaan there was war between Nimrod king of Shinar and Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Nimrod came to fight with Chedorlaomer and to subdue him.

Jasher 27

15 And when Nimrod the son of Cush died, his men lifted him up and brought him in consternation, and buried him in his city, and all the days that Nimrod lived were two hundred and fifteen years and he died.
16 And the days that Nimrod reigned upon the people of the land were one hundred and eighty-five years; and Nimrod died by the sword of Esau in shame and contempt, and the seed of Abraham caused his death as he had seen in his dream.
17 And at the death of Nimrod his kingdom became divided into many divisions, and all those parts that Nimrod reigned over were restored to the respective kings of the land, who recovered them after the death of Nimrod, and all the people of the house of Nimrod were for a long time enslaved to all the other kings of the land.

When it comes to Akaddian, Jewish and Sumerian records of the same events keep in mind that these are just different perspectives.

One more note. Borsippa is referred to locally as برس نمرود Birs Nimrod. The Arabs even know the truth on this matter and I think that's pretty cool.
