Seth Born

Adam lived one hundred thirty years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

All the days of Seth were nine hundred twelve years, then he died.

The Book of Jubilees 4:2

And in the first (year) of the third jubilee, Cain slew Abel because (God) accepted the sacrifice of Abel, and did not accept the offering of Cain.

4:9

and in the fourth year of the fifth week they became joyful, and Adam knew his wife again, and she bare him a son, and he called his name Seth; for he said "God hath raised up a second seed unto us on the earth instead of Abel; for Cain slew him."

Fallen Angels/line of Seth and the Qumran calendar.

When men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,

God’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took any that they wanted for themselves as wives.

The LORD said, “My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years.”

The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

There are two theories as to who the "Sons of God" are. The one we are most familiar with is that they are fallen angels. Given the context this is logical. The phrase "Sons of God" refers to angels.

The other view is that these are the Godly descendants of Seth mentioned in Genesis Chapter 5 that took the Ungodly descendants of Cain mentioned in Chapter 4 as wives. Also very logical.

Literally both arguments hold equal weight. One argument is not greater than the other. They both make perfect sense.

Personally I believe they are both true. If they were not both true why would it be worded in such a way that both arguments could be made? It seems evident that the Torah is describing two events in as few words as possible. Killing two birds with one stone if you will.

Not dismissing the fallen angel view, but if we do regard the Descendants of Seth marrying the daughters of Cain argument as being true we can arrive at some astounding knowledge regarding the Qumran calendar.

The Creator tells us that mans days will be limited to 120 years. There have been plenty of people to live past 120 so this verse must be referring to Jubilee years and not regular solar years. 120 Jubilees = 5881 years and 121 would be 5930 years. It is currently the Year 6018 in the Qumran reckoning of time(not Hillel II). But to stay in context we must add 130 years since Seth was born when Adam was 130.

5881➕130=6011
5930➕130=6060

There you have it. The current order of the world cannot reach the year 6060(121 Jubilees). Since we are in the year 6018 we are 7 years in this prophetic time frame mentioned in Genesis.

We are currently in the 123rd Jubilee from Adam. Keep in mind that the prophecy counts from Seth. The Torah commands that we keep track of time in periods of 50(49) similar to how we do things now with centuries.

There is yet another way to view this prophetic time frame❗ It may not count from the year he was born but the jubilee he was in. Seth was born in the third Jubilee cycle. Add 120 and that brings us to 123. This cycle ends on 6028 or 2031. Exactly 10 years from today. I lean more towards this view as keeping track of Jubilees would make no sense unless the latter view is what the creator meant.
