Abraham Born

Genesis 11:26

Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

וַיְחִי־תֶרַח שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וַיֹּולֶד אֶת־אַבְרָם אֶת־נָחֹור וְאֶת־הָרָן׃

💡 Birth = 1878 + 70 = {1948}

Genesis 25:7

These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred seventy-five years.

🌟Was Abraham born 1948 Y.C. Or 2008?

There is strong debate between Christians and Jews as to whether Abraham was born when Terah was 130 or 70. Both make super strong arguments. Both have convinced me. Jews argue that Abraham was the first born and Christians argue that he was the youngest. They both use the birth order of Abraham to justify their dates. Oddly enough by reading the book of Jasher(7:22) I have discovered that Abraham is indeed the youngest son! Terah was 38 when he had Haran and Nahor-apparently twins. But also that Abraham learned Torah from Noah who would have already been dead according to the Christian reckoning of time. Hmmm

Finally things must be established by two witnesses.

Witness #1 Abraham was surprised when the creator told him that he would father a child at 100. This wouldn't be so logical if his own father had him at 130.

Witness #2 Jasher 13:2
At that time, at the end of three years of Abram's dwelling in the land of Canaan, in that year Noah died, which was the fifty-eighth year of the life of Abram; and all the days that Noah lived were nine hundred and fifty years and he died. Noah died at 2006. 2006-1948=58. Jewish Timeline is correct! The Annals of the World by James Ushher is wrong!
